So a question I get asked a lot from readers of the blog is how I made money on fiverr, because for those of you who don’t already know, my first real money earned online were on Fiverr!

Now it’s obvious how to register an account, make a ‘gig’ (what Fiverr calls a service that you sell), but it isn’t as obvious to actually start making money on the platform.

In this tutorial I am going to show you just how to get started on Fiverr, and even earn your first few bucks today!

This tutorial will be broken up into the following sub sections:

  1. What is Fiverr and how does it work?
  2. Making the best Gig
  3. How I promote my Fiverr Gigs
  4. My results on how much I made

1 – What is Fiverr and how does it work?

Fiverr is a website where you can sell a product, or much more commonly a service, for $5.

For every sale that you make, Fiverr takes $1, leaving you with $4 profit, or 80% of the overall sale (if they bought any extras).

You can sign up for free and start selling here if you haven’t already.

1 – Making the best gig

In order to make more sales, it is essential to optimise your account and your gig to achieve that goal.

What I mean by this is that you should always upload an account picture, if you are selling under your own name then a picture of you, or if you are using a business name then use a logo for that business.

When you make your first gig, it is very important to add a long, descriptive and relevant description which talks about your product; using bullet points here is nice!

Also choose a good thumbnail, it is always best to make one yourself for that gig or you can even hire a Fiverr seller to make one for you.

Here is an example of a good, well selling gig:

As you can see, the thumbnail is very professional and the title is also very eye catching.

This gig also has a great example of a good description:

As you can see it has a long and detailed description, explaining exactly what you get, why you should chose them and more. This will give them a high conversion rate.

On the other hand, here is an example of a bad gig which won’t sell well:

The title is plain and bland with no capitals or eye catching words, the thumbnail isn’t very professional at all either.

Worst of all, the description is non descriptive and doesn’t make much grammatical sense:

I understand that English may not be this seller’s first language, but he could still have asked someone or paid someone to do the translation for him.

I hope that these examples gave you a good idea of what to do and what certainly not to do.

3 – How I promote Fiverr Gigs

Great, so you have an account, a great looking gig and what now? Sit and wait for the sales to come in?

This is what most Fiverr sellers do, and it is why most of them fail. By not doing any external advertising and not having any previous sales or reviews, you’ll get maybe a couple of orders a month.

Today I am going to teach you just how I made thousands upon thousands of dollars on Fiverr (my stats are coming up) from scratch with marketing on YouTube.

This actually started when I was looking to promote my new gig, and I stumbled across videos on YouTube about fiverr, which I saw other users were using to promote their gigs.

This does work, but not when you don’t get views because your video will soon get lost under the mass of other videos. I knew I had to find a way to make my video stay at the top as this would help me drive a lot of traffic.

After learning myself for a long time I managed to rank YouTube videos well, and one YouTube video even made me over $50,000! For more info on that as well as how you can do the same, check out my youtube ranking course TubeMillionaire.

I ranked my videos using the simple and easy methods from the course and got my first order within hours!

In fact, the first day that I did this I got 6 orders! It was getting a little hard to keep up with but it was worth it because very soon, I was making good money on there.

4 – My results and how much I made

All in all, I didn’t stay on Fiverr for that long because I moved onto other projects such as this blog for example, but here are some of my statistics:

And here is how much money I made in the short time I was on there:

Pretty impressive, right?

Keep in mind I stopped with Fiverr and promotion many months ago and that’s the only reason I don’t have any current orders etc, but if I would have continued, I would have made many more sales.

As you can see Fiverr is a great source of income if you go about it the right way with setting up and promotion!

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial, if you did please share it on social media. See you next time!
